Southlake Family Medicine has been bringing quality primary healthcare to patients throughout Southlake and the surrounding communities since 1995. We are staffed with Board Certified Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, & Pediatric physicians.

FLU SHOTS ARE HERE - NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED!

Flu shots will be given on Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays from 7-9am with no appointment necessary starting on Sept 2nd for ESTABLISHED PATIENTS ONLY. Insurance will be filed for patients that have been seen since January 2008.

COST OF THE FLU VACCINE: $35.00
Preservative Free Shots (6-35 mos): $44.50 Preservative Free Shots (3 yrs and older): $72.50 Flu Mist (nasal spray - live vaccine for ages 2-49) $63.00

The CDC recommends vaccination for:
Children aged 6 months up to their 19th birthday Pregnant women People 50 years of age and older People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions People who live in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities People who live with or care for those at high risk for complications from flu, including:
a. Health care workers
b. Household contacts of persons at high risk for complications from the flu
c. Household contacts and out of home caregivers of children less than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be vaccinated)

We would like to welcome the newest members to our practice, Dr. Rumalla and Dr. Iqbal.

Smita Rumalla, M.D. received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She completed both her internship and residency at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. Dr. Rumalla is board certified in family medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. She is also on medical staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine and at North Hills Hospital. Some of Dr. Rumalla’s professional interests include women’s health and preventive medicine.

Atiya Iqbal, M.D. is board certified in family medicine and received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She then fulfilled internships in internal medicine and general surgery at Civil Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Iqbal also completed her residency with the Family Physicians Association at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. For the past nine years, Dr. Iqbal practiced family medicine in southern Wisconsin for the Beloit Memorial Hospital, where she treated a broad range of medical problems for patients of all ages. Before that, she practiced family medicine for over a year in Illinois after completing her residency. Dr. Iqbal is professionally interested in a full range of primary care services and both prevention and treatment of diseases.
